Being that we were setup on a steep grade, wedge mats were brought in to help level the outrigger pads, traffic control was utilized to provide road closure and ensure the safety of the public during the operation and our diligent crews ensured the setup, lift and subsequent crane dismantle was carried out safely and without incident.
Extensive planning and meetings went into the road closure, crane setup, and chiller installations between the city of New Westminster, Royal Columbian Hospital, Magnum, Fred Welsh and EllisDon to ensure all parties were aware of the impacts this operation would have.
